What: Crop Walk for Hunger
All Ages!Fighting Hunger in our community is an important ministry of Abiding Love. In 2011, we raised over $500 and put a new and more convenient twist to the Crop Walk for Hunger, an annual Austin Area Interreligious Ministries event. We held our very own Crop Walk right here on the campus of Abiding Love! Come to help our members learn of the needs in our community, nation and world.
Kiosks were set up in a circle in our woods area in front of the sanctuary, telling us about those needs. Many of the participants then walked the 1.4-mile Arbor Trails loop in recognition of our commitment to helping others.
Thank you to all who helped and participated including kiosk-educators Emma Albin, Pat Andrews, Nader Ayoub, J.C. Cox, Tom & Joan Hokanson, Kelsey Hollien, Jared Jones, Bethany Sump, and Tim Sump.
